Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) – The term markup refers to a text document, which is displayed by Text processing. The markup was developed in the year 1980 and used in creating documents for display on computers dependably by using hardware and operating systems is also known as Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML).  HTML can be assisted by some technologies such as Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and scripting languages like JavaScript.

HTML is linked with SGML that follows the SGML format and allows to write the same information in different ways. Through this way, it is possible to incorporate sounds, video, graphics, and texts in one document that is a web page.
