I’ve been an on-and-off blogger for about 5 years. And in those 5 years, I’ve struggled with consistency, confidence, and finding a niche.

But with all the setbacks, there were 5 lessons I learned over the years that have made this platform much easier to use.

1. You’re a writer, not a photographer.

If you’re a blogger that intends to write, do not waste your time trying to take aesthetically-pleasing pictures. You started your website to write, not to take pictures.

When I first started blogging, I wasted so much time taking pictures around the house and getting extremely frustrated with myself. I wasted so much time that I could’ve spent writing more posts!
