If I’m being honest with myself, I have a hard time when it comes to being artistic. Perhaps that why my first major, Architecture, wasn’t a great fit for me.
As a kid, I was an avid reader. I had an appetite for books that seemed to be insatiable, and I could power through the pages as if it were nothing. I was sort of an oddball; I didn’t enjoy video games or comics. I would have much rather been riding my bike or reading.
When it came to cartoons, I watched whatever was on PBS. Having grown up without cable or satellite, I was reduced to public channels on TV, which, looking back, wasn’t such a bad thing. Aside from cartoons, animated movies were a big part of my childhood, and to this day I have a respectable collection of Disney movies on VHS.
