We made a recent post about simple Halloween decorations you can make if you’re behind on your decorating. This post is dedicated to the Indian festival of Diwali, which is this weekend. A lot of Indian households go all out when decorating for this holiday. But I’m sure there are some of you, like me, who don’t get to it until the last minute. If that’s the case, this post is for you.
As most of you know, Diwali is the festival of lights. Most Diwali decorations tend to revolve around this concept of light. Diyas, or lamps (usually made of clay) are placed all around the house. A common ritual is to paint these clay lamps ourselves.
