A lot of Indian households go all out when decorating for this holiday. But I’m sure there are some of you, like me, who don’t get to it until the last minute. As most of you know, Diwali is the festival of lights. Most Diwali decorations tend to revolve around this concept of light. Diyas, or lamps (usually made of clay) are placed all around the house. A common ritual is to paint these clay lamps ourselves.
