So today I did ANOTHER weeks worth of History. Why, I don’t know. I just like to do school sometimes, so I did another week of History! Here are the 4 lessons that I did today:
Blue Jeans:
Heavy duty clothes were crucial to work. There was steam and sharp things that could cut and burn you, so thick fabric was also needed. There was also needed durable jeans for cowboys who got their jeans rubbing up against the tough saddle. There was expanding railroads that also needed workers, and they also needed thick clothes. Levi Strauss was born in 1829 in Germany. He moved to America when he was 18 with his mother and his two sister, where his two brothers were already living. They were selling dry goods. Strauss moved to Louisville, Kentucky. He took a steam ship to San Francisco during the Gold Rush…
