If you’re anything like me, you’ve heard the same clichés over and over again and wondered if there might just be some truth to them. And you’ve also heard from parents, and perhaps professors, that clichés are clichés for a reason (I apologize in advance for using that word 87 times in this post).
If there’s anything I’ve learned in my 23 years on this planet, it is that a lot of them are in fact, true. Or, rather that there is some level of truth to these fabled repetitive phrases.
The adages I’ve posted here have been echoed to me in fortune cookies, in movie & literature motifs, and explained to me in a fanciful way by my 7 year-old niece.
