I have never actually ‘driven’ a motorbike (in fact I’ve only just learnt to ride a scooter!)……I’ve been a pillion passenger often over the years, but never really had the interest or inclination to ride alone.
Until now!!
My travelings in India introduced me to the Royal Enfield – a bike I’ve either not ever seen, or perhaps just not ever noticed. However after landing in Cochin and discerning one or two of these stylish motorcycles, I now even recognise the sound of them!

These bikes are truly the most retro-stylish two-wheeled vehicles that I can imagine exist on the worlds roads. And after delving into their history, I’m even more enraptured.
