
Merry Christmas bookish people! Every year I try to read something Christmas-related on the day itself (because I often find myself with a spare few hours with nothing to do). I’ve chosen 5 books that make for good reading during the festive season, either before or on Christmas, or during that weird bit before New Year arrives.

1. A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens
Okay so this is a CLASSIC. Somewhere on TV there will be an adaptation of this, and it isn’t Christmas unless we’ve witnessed Scrooge learn the error of his ways. But it’s the book that started it all, and ‘invented Christmas as we know it today’ (blurb of my Scholastic edition).
