Does anyone remember the Slap Chop? It was “Making America Skinny one Slap at a Time” back in 2008… Did it work particularly well? Nope. Did they sell the heck out of it? Yup.

I am a sucker for kitchen gadgets. I could sit and watch infomercials for hours. I get sucked in to how amazing the hosts make the product look. I have totally had to talk myself out of buying a NuWave oven AND a Nescafe machine. Darn you, Mario Lopez for making that coffee look so good!

The point is, people will spend their hard earned money on a lot of stupid stuff if it is marketed well.

Lucky for you, I am one of those people! I have had my fair share of shiny new kitchen gadgets/tools not live up to the hype. Trust me, I’ve wasted enough money for the both of us…
