Using iPod touch 2nd generation in 2017

Last week, I finally got my hands on a used iPod touch 2nd generation. I found cheap one sold in one of the online commerce site. I didn’t have a chance to play with the iPod touch in its heyday, back when iPod was still cool, so I took this opportunity to finally “own” an iPod touch 🙂

The iPod that I got is the 8GB version with the new boot ROM (MC model), released along side the 3rd gen iPod touch (that was released in 16 and 32 GB configuration) in 2009. There was another older model of this 2nd gen iPod touch that was released in 2008 called the MB model (note: you can know which model the iPod belong to by looking at the settings > general > about and find the model number.
