There’s no doubt mobile media consumption has sky rocketed. Just think of how many times a day you check Facebook or browse the web on your smartphone. In fact 84% of Australians own smart phones. Apps have propelled smartphone penetration rates and thereby become a key aspect in the ‘mobile economy’. Alongside expectation of 75% of businesses set to adopt mobile app development to advance their digital transformation strategy. Although the average consumer only has 25 apps on their smartphone, so how do you make sure your business makes it onto your customers device?

Brands must deliver meaningful service and value to consumers, as they engage “at the moment of truth”. This can be achieved through apps, as highlighted by the case of Pizza Hut. Pizza Hut developed a loyalty app which capitalised on smart data to navigate more targeted offers and increase sales, all while delivering an intuitive encounter  for mobile users.
