NASA’s Mars rover, Curiosity, has come across a two-piece iron meteorite on the Red Planet.

The surface of the rock has angular-shaped cavities on it.

One possibility is that these cavities once contained olivine crystals, found in a rare class of of stony-iron meteorites called pallasites.
