As I mentioned in a previousMacro Monday post, ranunculus are one of my favorite flowers, and since you all know how much I love flowers, that’s saying a lot! A friend surprised me with a bouquet of these pretty pastel-colored ranunculus blooms. I love the ombre color, and how it looks as if someone took a tiny brush and painted the edges of these soft petals.

I’m sad to see them bid their farewell as their season is just about done here in California, but at least new things are continuing to pop up in the garden and farmers market. What flowers are starting to appear near you? Please share — I’d love to hear!
